What FetchCalc is — and what it isn't
Friendly financial math without the intimidating jargon.
Who we are
FetchCalc is an independent calculator and educational service for people trying to understand what borrowing costs. We build fast, honest tools that do the arithmetic clearly and explain the result in plain language. That's the whole product.
We are not a lender or an adviser
FetchCalc is an independent calculator and educational service. We are not a lender, broker, or financial adviser, and nothing here is financial advice. Estimates are for planning only; your actual offer and payment will come from your lender.
- We do not lend money, broker loans, or arrange credit.
- We do not run credit checks, and we never ask who you are.
- We do not promise savings, approval, or any particular rate.
- Our figures are estimates for planning. The binding numbers are the ones in your lender's disclosure.
How our calculations work
Every result comes from standard amortization mathematics implemented directly in this site's code and executed in your browser. Nothing is estimated by a language model. The "Ask FetchCalc" assistant only ever describes the numbers the calculator has already produced — it never invents them, and when no AI model is connected we say so plainly instead of pretending otherwise.
Where real-world outcomes depend on things we can't see — daily interest accrual conventions, how your lender applies extra payments, escrow adjustments — our results are approximations, and we try to say where.
How we're funded
FetchCalc is free. We intend to fund it through clearly labelled advertising and affiliate partnerships with financial companies. Advertising disclosure: FetchCalc may earn compensation if you use a partner link. This never changes your results — the math above is the same either way.
Two commitments: sponsored areas will always be labelled as such, and no partner relationship will ever change a calculated result or the order in which we present the maths. At the time of writing no affiliate partners are live, so the sponsored areas you see are placeholders.
Your privacy, briefly
The calculators need no account and no personal information. The amounts you type stay in your browser — there's no database and no server-side storage of your inputs. Full details are in our privacy policy.
